P1 to 4 Unicef Fundraiser – French Breakfast

We are very much looking forward to this event, which is taking place on Monday morning, at 9.30am.

Pupils and staff from the P5 to 7 class and any parents/carers who can make it will be served a French breakfast by pupils in the P1 to 4 class.

Please make your donation to UNICEF via our Just Giving Page here:

We are very proud of the P1 to 4 class for planning this event and continuing to consider the children for whom December will not be a festive month.

Christmas Showcase

As you will know, preparations for our Christmas showcase on Friday 15th December are going very well. The P5 to 7 class are preparing a nativity drama and highlighted scripts have been sent home in bags, with lines that are to learnt. We would very much appreciate your support in ensuring that all lines are learnt by this Tuesday, 12th December, if at all possible. If your child is struggling to learn lines, please do not hesitate to contact me directly and I will work with you to find an individual strategy to get round this. We are very, very impressed by the lines that have already been learned. Please note that we do not require you to provide costumes; we would simply ask that your child wears all black or neutral colours on Friday and we will provide accessories for the children to wear.

The P1 to 4 class have been practising Christmas songs for the showcase and there are also a few children from P1 to 7 who have volunteered to play instrumental solos and duets.

Please note that we do not require you to provide costumes for this event; we would simply ask that your child wears all black or  dark/neutral colours on Friday and we will provide accessories for the children to wear.

The showcase will last around 30 minutes and we will then enjoy some festive treats together before hometime.

Each family will, be allocated 2 seats at each performance. Please use this Google Form to tell us whether you will require seats at the performance: https://forms.gle/aZqLV28J7pbhxYiM8

It is essential that you complete this form by 5pm on Wednesday 13th December, please.

Please note that due to some special effects and the staging of the show, we will not be able to admit any audience members who do not have a prior reservation and there will no standing room.

A video will be made of the show so that families can show it to friends and family members who may live away and not be able to attend in person.

P1 to 4 Classroom Unexpected Elf and Safety Issue

Following my update last week, I can confirm that Felix the elf has been active in the P1 to 4 class again this week but seem to be quite good-natured. You can see some of his antics in the photos here: https://www.glassary.argyll-bute.sch.uk/felix-the-elf/
