Staffing
The children may have told you that we have had a new support member of staff in this week. Miss Daisy Carter will be working across both Glassary and Tayvallich Schools from now until the end of term.
Our Whole School Learning Together Trip to the Lomond Sealife Centre
As those of you who came will know, we had the most brilliant day out at the Sea Life Centre, seeing all of the amazing creatures, learning all about the depths of the ocean in a fascinating workshop and really enjoying one another’s company. Many thanks to the Parent Council for funding the trip, to Mrs McClymont for arranging it and to all of the staff who worked beyond their normal hours to be part of it.

P7 Residential to Lochranza
I cannot begin to tell you how brilliant it was to spend time with the P7s over the last few days on Arran. The children from all three school mixed brilliantly and embraced all of the challenges with determination and enthusiasm. The centre staff were hugely impressed with them and fed back to me how polite and respectful they were.
I sent photos to the P7 parents each night to help them see how great a time we were having and will edit these over the next few days and upload them to the website for you all to see.
Learning with Miss Logan
The P4s and P6s had a fantastic day of learning on Thursday with Miss Logan. They collected natural materials from the environment to create Hapa Zome art with Miss Logan. They then customised them with fabric pens, adding their names in different languages and much more.

Hope Spot Day 1 – Wednesday 11th June
We are very excited about our Hope Spot Activities next Wednesday, about which you received information from Mrs Speechley and Keira Anderson this week. Many thanks for returning the consent forms so promptly.
P7 High School Induction Days.
We wish our P7s all the best next week for the first of your High School Induction Days next Wednesday and Thursday. All the information you need has been sent to you by the High School so check out the Handbook if you have any questions about arrangements, including lunches, transport or timings.
New P1s
We cannot wait to meet our new P1s on Thursday morning next week when they will be visiting the P1 to 4 class. Our P4s will also be moving up into the P5 to 7 class so that they will get a taste of what their class will be like in August.
Have a great weekend.
