Family Update – November 2026

October really flew by and suddenly November is upon us. We hope everyone had a wonderful October Holiday, we have all enjoyed hearing stories from the Children about what they have been up to.  Halloween is over for another year, some parents heaving a big sigh of relief, I’m sure! Huge fun was had by all at the School Halloween Disco, staff were very impressed by the variety of costumes on show.

But the fun is not all over yet – The Lantern Parade is just around the corner on the 7th November, so please do pop along to MAYDS from 5.45-6.15pm to join in the fun.

We also have started putting together our Christmas Show plans – The Hoity Toity Angel will be performed at 4pm on Thursday 17th December in the North Hall in Ardrishaig. More information will be sent home soon but put the date in your diary and start digging out your Christmas jumpers now!

Glassary will be holding a P1 Open Day on 5th November from 1pm to 3pm, we are looking forward to welcoming more families in to our school and showing them all the things we do best.

Above is a photo taken on our School away day on 29th October. As the School was closed due to being used as a polling station, we set up at North Hall in Ardrishaig and spent an excellent day with Kerry from the Grab Trust. She taught us all about the waste created by Halloween costumes and how to reduce and reuse to make Halloween a more environmentally friendly event. We also got to make some pinecone bats and collages made with old magazines.

Coming up next week, we have our Curriculum Cafe on 9th November, we hope to see parents there at 2.30pm. Please know you are welcome to bring siblings with you, its always nice for them to be able to join in too.

Please don’t forget to check the calendar on the School website for any other upcoming events/timings. It has been updated, but changes may be made as the term progresses.
