We were delighted that the pupils attended a special celebration of children’s human rights on 20 November – World Children’s Day – in the form of an online assembly to explore the topic of ‘climate change and children’s rights’ with Children and Young People’s Commissioner for Scotland Nicola Killean.

At the assembly, the children

•         learned about the link between climate change and children’s rights

•         heard from other children who have created climate campaigns in their local area

•         felt inspired to share their views with children across Scotland.

We were very proud of how respectfully the children took part and of the way they interacted with the topic. It was great to connect with Nicola again after she did a Google Meet with us back last summer.
