P1 to 4 visit to Taynish.

As you will know from recent updates, the Primary 1 to 4 class has been working with Mrs Jacquelyn Condie from Kilmartin House Museum this term on an exciting Nature Detectives project. For two days in school they had workshops exploring stories related to the environment and making fabulous nature-related crafts. The project then culminated in a visit to Taynish National Nature Reserve on Thursday 13th June, when the children worked with Jacquelyn and Heather Goodwin from NatureScot and explored the fantastic environment of the reserve and temperate rain forest. The child (and adults) had the most fantastic time and learned a huge amount about the plants and animals at Taynish, even though the weather tried to put us off at first. We are hugely grateful to Kilmartin House Museum, Jacquelyn and Heather and our wonderful driver George who made this possible.
