Hello everyone.

I hope this finds you all well and that you have had a restful and very enjoyable couple of weeks.

Some members of our community have unfortunately been very badly affected by the terrible weather conditions back at the start of the break and our thoughts have been with them, along with offers to help in any way we can.

However, we also received some fantastic news over the break and are delighted to announce that Mr and Mrs McClymont welcomed baby Aella safely into the world on Monday 9th October. Mrs McClymont will be bringing her in to meet us as soon as she is able and I was lucky enough to visit and get some cuddles last week.

Also over the holidays, a lot of work was done in school by our fantastic janitor Mr Walker and McLeods. We have a new door; you can see the photos here: https://www.glassary.argyll-bute.sch.uk/our-new-entrance-door/

Also in the Gallery, you can see the photos of the amazing Castle Day that we had on the Wednesday before the break: https://www.glassary.argyll-bute.sch.uk/welcome-to-glassary-castle/

The costumes were fabulous, the teamwork was tremendous and the banquet was exquisite (food AND table manners!)

We are very much looking forward to seeing the children again this week and getting back to learning.

There are lots of exciting events coming up in the weeks ahead and you can find out more about them by checking our calendar here: https://www.glassary.argyll-bute.sch.uk/events/

Finally for now, I need to let you know that Mrs Lynas has decided to move on to new ventures and that her last day with us was Friday 6th October. We hope that she will come back for a visit so that we can say a Glassary goodbye to her with some afternoon tea and cake. We are very grateful to her for all the fantastic support she has given since joining the school in April 2022 and wish her all the best for the future.

Reminder – don’t forget to make meal choices in I-Pay Impact and please make sure that your child brings a warm and waterproof coat for school this term.

As always, please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need to.
