Week Beginning 8th December 2025

I want to extend a most grateful thanks to all who attended our most recent Curriculum Cafe, through discussions with the children these experiences are extremely important to them and they are thoroughly enjoying having the opportunity to show off their work to their families.
As you may know, family engagement is one of our School Improvement Priorities this year and as with all reports we need to provide evidence of our work, this brings me to the feedback form that was issued to families last week. The number of responses is still extremely low and we would appreciate it if you could find 5 minutes to reflect on the Curriculum Cafe’s so we can include a diverse range of responses in our evidence – if you have been unable to attend the Curriculum Cafe’s, the form provides opportunity for you to tell us why, e.g. they are held during your working hours and you are unable to attend during the working day – all feedback is important, but we need to hear it from the families. Thank you to those who have taken the time to fill it out already, your feedback is extremely valuable to us!

To ensure that the link to the form is kept private, it was sent out to families twice last week. If you would like the link to be sent to you again, please get in touch with the office.

This week the children in have all been working hard on their school plays, if you are able to, we would appreciate it if you could continue to practice your child’s lines at home if they have any. Additionally, P5-7 are to ensure that they bring in their costumes for the play by Friday 12th December – info was issued regarding this earlier in the week.

The school play will be on Monday the 15th of December at 2pm, parents – as well as other family members – are welcome to join the audience.

Today the children enjoyed wearing their Christmas jumpers and taking part in the school Christmas dinner, thank you to all of the hardworking staff in the kitchens for providing such a lovely meal for us all!

As for further dates for the diary, the only thing left to add is that school will close at 2:30pm on Friday the 19th of December.

This will be the last family update ahead of the new year so I want to take a moment to thank you all for your ongoing support.

From all the staff at Glassary Primary School, we hope you have a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when they come!
