It may be that you do not see as many posts on Seesaw just now as we are having some technical issues around uploading photos. Please bear with us while we seek advice around this.
Halloween Party
Many thanks indeed to our fantastic Parent Council who organised the fantastic Halloween party on Wednesday. The costumes were amazing, the games were brilliant, the dancing was awesome and we were very excited to end the evening with a visit from everyone’s favourite dinosaur, Dino. Everyone had a lot of fun. Thanks to Mr Carter for capturing some great photos of the evening which you can check out here: Halloween Party – Glassary Primary School
Logo competition
Argyll and Bute Council is running a logo competition Young People across Argyll & Bute have explored ideas as to how to recognise and celebrate Children’s Rights. They are particularly keen to recognise when adults get it right for children and young people and to encourage more adults to do so. To recognise this we are asking young people to design a logo that can be used on badges and award plaques.
The children will get some time to work on this in school but you may also want them to do a design at home. You can find more information here:
The logo should
- be no larger than A4
- fit with the strapline that was created by young people: Open Your Eyes to Children’s Rights
- be suitable for use on a badge or award plaque (there is no defined shape for this)
- Entries should arrive no later than Friday 15th November
- Entries should be sent to: argyllhousereception@argyll-bute.gov.uk
- Designs can be as colourful as you like
- Entries should observe copyright laws (all designs should be the child/young person’s own work)
- Entries can be submitted by an individual or as part of a group. There is no limit to the number of entries a school can submit.
- Entries should include the name(s) and age(s) of the designer(s) and contact details for the submission.
Submitted designs may feature on Argyll & Bute’s website and/or social media. By submitting your design, you are giving consent for this to be shown in this way.
This competition is open to children and young people throughout Argyll & Bute up to the age of 18. The winning applicant will have their design made into the final products and see their design feature throughout Argyll & Bute.
The winning designer(s) will also receive a Scotland Loves Local Gift Card to the value of £50.

The PTA have taken part in the national ‘no child cold’ campaign in conjunction with Fatface and have purchased a warm winter coat for each child. These will be sent home with your child in the coming weeks. Should you not wish to keep the coat please return to school and this will be donated to charity or sold on by the PTA to raise funds. The coats are free for each child, however, should you with to make a donation to the PTA funds a suggested donation of £10 is advised. There is however, no obligation to make a donation.
