Christmas in Glassary Primary School is always just magical and this year has been no exception!

One of the highlights of December was our fabulous Christmas Dinner, prepared by Margaret and her brilliant team in School Catering and served beautifully by Peter. Thank you so much to them all for feeding us so well!

Parent Council Christmas Fayre

We were very lucky on Friday 13th December to have our fabulous Parent Council Christmas Fayre fundraiser, which was magical! It was great to see so many family members and friends there. Huge thanks to Julie and all of the Parent Council for making the event such a huge success. At the time of writing, the event has raised over £300 and the final total is still to be announced.

Christmas Showcase:

We were delighted that so many family members and friends could join us for our end of year Christmas Showcase on Thursday, to celebrate our children and watch the world premiere of “The Terrible Tragedy of Lady Kilmartin.” It was fantastic to see the huge range of skills and musical talents that our pupils have and the results of the tuition that they have had with Mr Tarn (visiting wind tutor, who is part of the local authority music service team) and Laura Stone (visiting singing and ukulele tutor). If you were not able to attend the event, we will make sure that you have the opportunity to watch the movie we made. We are hoping to arrange further screenings in the new year.

Unexpected visitor

The pupils may have told you that Miss Mahmood was not in today and instead we had our cover teacher Miss Felix Elf with us. She had a trial day with us last year and it was lovely to welcome her back.  I wonder whether we will see her again before the last day of the Christmas term 2025:

It remains for me to wish you a very happy and restful holiday period with your fabulous children. We look forward to seeing you on Monday 6th January.
