Upcoming events

Don’t forget to check the school calendar for upcoming events in addition to those detailed below:

Events from September 19 – November 11 – Glassary Primary School

Smoke Free Nation

The Primary 7 pupils from Glassary and Tayvallich did you and us proud when they represented us at the Join Campus for the Smoke Free Nation performance this week. They were respectful, engaged and as well as learning a lot about why it is their right to live smoke free (Articles 24 and 33), they had fun and were excellent fun to be with. One of our Glassary pupils even joined the cast to help with the show!

Food sharing – reminder

The food that children eat during the school day has to have been provided by the Argyll and Bute catering team, by the parents/carers of individual children for their own child, or as part of agreed curriculum activities (eg cooking or food tasting.)

Forest Workshops – Tuesday 24th September.

A reminder from our visiting artist Lizzie Rose:

Having worked a lot with the oak gall ink, in preparation for these workshops, I am very aware that the ink does stain both hands and clothes. I will be bringing gloves that people can use if they wish but it would be great if you would encourage everyone to bring an old t shirt or apron they could wear to protect their clothes from spills or splashes. We will make every effort to prevent this and have trays for the ink to sit in and paper roll to catch any spills.

Parents Evenings

We are very much looking forward to seeing you on Monday or Tuesday next week at the time arranged with Mrs Speechley.

Have a lovely week and you know how to contact me, if you need anything.
