STEMOVATORS – Oban, Tuesday 6th May
We were absolutely delighted to hear from Mrs McClymont that our pupils did us proud in Oban on Tuesday. Although they were not amongst the prize-winners, they impressed everyone with their engagement and knowledge.
For us, they were absolutely winners and the climate-ready classroom models that they produced are just amazing! Check out the photos here: https://www.glassary.argyll-bute.sch.uk/stemovators-oban-tuesday-6th-may/
VE Day Assembly
On Thursday we spent time reflecting on the fact that it is 80 years since the end of World War Two in Europe. Four of our Primary 4 to 7 pupils helped Mrs Carter to deliver a moving and informative assembly. This ended with a minute’s silence, where we thought about how the protection of children’s and human rights in wartime is very challenging and how lucky we are to live in a country that has seen peace for 80 years.
Whole School Learning Together Trip.
We are very pleased to confirm that we will be going to the Lomond Sea-life Centre on Thursday 29th May. This will be a brilliant day out; exact details, consent forms and a request for you to tell us whether you or another family member can join us will follow soon.
P7 information from High School
Parents of P7 pupils should have received information about transition to S1 from Lochgilphead High School in the post – this includes details of the transition days in June and the S1 clans.
P4 to 7 class – French
The class will be studying the film Mr Bean’s Holiday as part of French this term with Mrs Carter. If any parent would rather that their child did not see this film, please email enquiries-glassary@argyll-bute.gov.uk by the end of Tuesday 13th May.
Have a great weekend.
