Upcoming events
Don’t forget to check the school calendar for upcoming events in addition to those detailed below:
Events from September 19 – November 11 – Glassary Primary School
Monday of this week made us very proud of the children as they respectfully marked Remembrance Day and reflected on the themes of service, sacrifice, selflessness and peace. The focus and respect they showed during our 2 minute silence were very impressive. We were also very grateful to Nora and Talla for the beautiful poems they read in assembly.
Please check out the Gallery to see some of the beautiful work they created: Remembrance – Glassary Primary School
FOREST
Staff were very privileged to go to a preview of the exhibition of FOREST this Tuesday, where the oak tree portraits produced by our pupils earlier this term are now on display. Lizzie Rose has done the most fantastic job- of creating a powerful and meaningful installation and it is brilliant that all of our children are now exhibited artists.
We hope to take all the children to see the exhibition but you may also want to go along and check it out as a family.

Christmas Lunch
Mrs Speechley will be in touch early next week with menu choices for our Christmas lunch, which will take place on 11th December this year.
Christmas Show – The Terrible Tragedy of Lady Kilmartin
You will find scripts in bags today with lines to be learned for the filmed sections of our show. We are planning to film these scenes in and around Kilmartin on Tuesday 26th November The children may have explained that this year’s show is going to be a multi-media performance with live and filmed sections. Any help you can give with learning lines at home would be much appreciated.
Children in Need
At the time of writing, we have raised £60, which is 60% of our target for this year. Well done! Many thanks to those of you who have managed to donate. We know that times are hard just now in many households across the UK but any donation you can make, however small, will make a real difference to the lives of children who have had a particularly difficult start in life.
