Lots of lovely learning

We have had a week of fantastic learning opportunities again this week including amazing role-play relating to Chinese New Year in the P4 to 7 class, a visit from Erin, in her new role as Mid Argyll Active Schools Co-ordinator (Congratulations, Erin!) and a visit from Mr Carter to help us with our Great Schools Birdwatch Activity. You can see some photos of the activities here: February learning – Glassary Primary School

Big Schools Birdwatch.

Many of you may have taken part in the Big Garden Birdwatch this month but we were delighted to be part of the Big Schools Birdwatch today, as part of our Learning for Sustainability.

We are not sure how many schools taking part will have had the good fortune to record 2 White Tailed Sea Eagles on their list but Mr Carter and the P1 to 4 class were very pleased that they could! Aren’t we lucky to live in such a fantastic environment?

YesFest 2025

As I explained last week, this event takes place on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th June in Lancashire and we have been invited to take 6 pupils from P5 and P6 across our two schools to be the first pupils representing Scotland.  We have had six expressions of interest and so every pupil who would like to come can do so! More details will follow about this very great adventure soon.

Parents Evenings

After the holiday, Mrs Speechley will be sending our appointment slots for our Parents’ Evenings that take place on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th February. You will be able to attend in person in school or via a phone call or Google Meet.

If you cannot make a specific time between 3.30pm and 5pm on either of these days, please email enquiries-glassary@argyll-bute.gov.uk by the end of school on Tuesday 18th February.

Have a lovely break and we look forward to seeing all the children back at school on Tuesday 18th February.
