It has been wonderful to have the children back in school this week and hear about what they got up to in the holidays. While they had an extra day off on Monday, staff were in learning all about how to keep children and the adults who look after them safe, dyslexia, and a whole range of other topics that individual staff members had identified as priority for their professional learning.
World of Work project
We were absolutely delighted to welcome Jack McKeown from the Scottish Football Association into school on Tuesday, after the P4 to 7s had invited him in to talk about careers in football. Some interested P1 to 3s also joined the talk.
The children were interested and engaged and learned a lot about the world of professional sport. We have a whole list of exciting visitors coming to see us soon to talk about pathways into other areas of work, including some of our amazing parents.

Hope Spot Joint Learning
On Wednesday 5th March, Tayvallich Pupils cannot use their school building due to an unavoidable power outage and the fact that SSE cannot provide us with a generator to enable us to open the school safely.
They will therefore be relocating to Glassary Primary School for another fantastic joint learning day, which will build on our learning for sustainability/Hope Spot project.
Celebration event
We hope to see as many of you as possible next week at the Planet Youth volunteer celebration event next Tuesday where we will celebrate all the amazing groups who provide opportunities for our children in our community.
Parents’ Evenings
We also look forward to seeing you next Monday or Tuesday next week at your allocated appointment, where we will all celebrate the progress that your child has been making in learning this year.
Have a lovely weekend.
