Mid Argyll Music Festival
We had the most incredible time at the Music Festival last Saturday and were incredibly proud of our 5 pupils who took part with solo clarinet, clarinet duet, piano solo, harp solo, vocal duet and our wonderful group song. We wowed the audiences and got some very positive adjudications. To top it all, our clarinet duet won our amazing pupils first place and a trophy. Well done girls!
We can’t wait for next year!
Our Children Their Future
You will know that the local authority recently refreshed our Vision for Education and our aims for what we want our education setting to do and be for all of our children.
In the last 2 updates I have shown you wonderful videos related to this on the Our Children Their Future Education social media accounts and this week we have 2 more where you may spot some familiar faces:

LANDS25
The P5 to 7s represented us on Wednesday at this fantastic event which was part of Scottish Learning For Sustainability Week. They took part in an exciting range of indoor and outdoor STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activities and discovered the learning and employment opportunities rooted in the lands of Argyll and Bute from local and national organisations.
The children were engaged, inquisitive, knowledgeable and very respectful. As staff, we were told time and time again throughout the day by the partners delivering the activities that our pupils were fantastic – something we already knew, of course – but so very lovely to hear it from others too!
World of Work
On Monday we were very fortunate to have another one of our wonderful parents join our assembly. Franziska Ford told us all about the work she does with SEPA to make sure that our waste disposal sites operate safely and that all waste disposal is respectful of the local environment and people. We all agreed that she has a really interesting and important job.
