Festive update

Apologies for the second update this week. For those of us who mark or celebrate Christmas. there are a few things coming up that I have been asked to inform you about which won’t wait until the next weekly update!

Please also note that, following on from our fantastic P4 pupil assembly, we will be holding a French breakfast to raise funds for UNICEF and the child victims of war in December, to which you will be cordially invited. I will confirm the date as soon as I am able. I am very proud of the P1 to 4 class for planning this event and continuing to consider the children for whom December will not be a festive month.

Christmas Tree Sale

This Saturday at 10am our Parent Council is selling Christmas Trees at the front of the school to raise funds for the school. You can reserve a tree in advance by contacting Julie Brown and once they are gone, they are gone.

Can I ask that, if you are coming along, you take care when driving and parking in the village and are respectful of local residents.

Rotary Club Christmas Grotto

I have had an email on behalf of Mid Argyll Rotary to ask me to let you know about the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 2nd  December in the Parish Church Hall, Lochgilphead.

They are running a Santa`s grotto and children, accompanied by parents/carers get to meet Santa, receive a present and finish off with a family photo by a local photographer.  Any proceeds will go towards helping Rotary support local charities, individuals and Rotary’s end Polio now campaign.

Please see the poster here for more information:

Christmas lunch

Many thanks to those of you who have returned menu choices for the children for the Christmas lunch which takes place on Wednesday 13th December. Children are very welcome to wear a Christmas jumper or accessory on that day, if they would like.

Christmas Party

Please note that the Parent Council has advised me that this will now take place on Wednesday 20th December from 6.30 until 8pm.
